Mt Whitney Sunrise, Alabama Hills

I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked up and saw Mt Whitney glowing in that incredible sunrise light from the Alabama Hills. Not only was the highest peak in the contiguous US on fire with alpenglow, but the grape-soda-scented lupine wildflowers were framing the peak. The vibrant purple lupine blooms filling the meadow and perfuming the crisp Eastern Sierra mountain air. I rushed to find the perfect composition, stumbling over in the excitement, just trying to capture the light show before it faded. Man, it felt so good to be back in the Eastern Sierras! Limited edition fine art print available. bringing this Mt Whitney sunrise magic straight to your wall.
