I couldn't believe my eyes when the last light of the day hit Mount Assiniboine, known as the Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies, turning it into a blazing orange and pink canvas against the deepening blue sky. Normally this peak is hidden in clouds, so I was thrilled to finally witness and photograph this wondrous scene. It was a truly magical moment seeing the iconic summit glowing with pink alpenglow and perfectly reflected in the glacier tarn below. I rushed to adjust the tripod as the sunset light faded fast, capturing every hue before it vanished. It was euphoric photographing this fantasy like landscape in the remote backcountry of Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. Man, it felt so good to be out there in the heart of the Rockies! Limited edition fine art print available, bringing this Mount Assiniboine sunset magic straight to your wall.
