California's superbloom that year was one of the best in recent decades. Thanks to an unusually rainy winter, almost the entire state burst into bloom with dozens of species of ephemeral native spring wildflowers. Parts of the normally arid Southern California landscape experienced an incredible superbloom a once-in-a-decade event.
Few sights are more memorable than brilliant colors stretching for miles across green hills, accompanied by the fragrance of California poppies and canterbury bells. Cumulus clouds rolled across the landscape, creating the perfect backdrop for photography.
