El Capitan in winter is stunning. El Capitan is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Yosemite National Park and even more majestic in the winter. That morning we were fortunate to be in Yosemite Valley as the winter storm was clearing. We drove around the loop to El Capitan Meadow to see if we could get a photo. The clouds were enshrouding El Capitan as we trailblazed in the snow along the Merced River to capture this shot. The light moving on and off the granite face was amazing to watch. It was such a beautiful morning. If you ever get a chance to go to Yosemite in the winter, I highly recommend it.
