White Mountains Twilight

Finally, I was able to return to the White Mountains. Every year I make the trek up to photograph the bristlecone pines. The White Mountains are a great location for photographing these ancient trees, especially at twilight and for astrophotography. Some are over 5,000 years old. I hiked over a ridge and found this great tree overlooking the landscape. Who knows how long it's been standing there? It's a little unnerving to be all alone up there with these ancient trees, watching the sky transition from sunset to twilight.
