We came across this old-growth forest while exploring the redwood groves. It was one of the most incredible experiences, hiking into this ancient maple grove felt like stepping back in time. It reminded me of the old-growth forests in Olympic National Park. The maples were drenched in bright green moss, with huge sword ferns covering the forest floor and canopy. Who knows how old this place is? It was one of those magical spots you didn't want to leave.
