Mount Robson, British Columbia is by far one of the most majestic mountains in the Canadian Rockies. After backpacking 14 miles up 2,500 feet in elevation, Jeff and I arrived at Berg Lake. I was cold and exhausted but happy to arrive at one of the most stunning lakes in all British Columbia. But we wanted a better view, so we headed up to the ridge. I put on my six layers of clothes as I could feel my heart and lungs burning trying to get enough oxygen. The problem was the sunset light was starting to go off lighting up Mt Robson. We pushed as hard as we could another 2 miles to an opening in the forest as the scene opened. Barely breathing I was in awe staring at this incredible view. Here's a panorama of Mount Robson from where we hit the snow. Views like these make it worth all the effort to get there.
