Mount Robson in British Columbia is by far one of the most majestic mountains in the Canadian Rockies. After backpacking 14 miles with 2,500 feet of elevation gain, Jeff and I arrived at Berg Lake. I was cold and exhausted but thrilled to reach one of the most stunning lakes in British Columbia. Wanting a better view, we headed up to the ridge. I layered on six pieces of clothing as my heart and lungs burned trying to get enough oxygen at altitude. The sunset light was already starting to fade and ignite Mount Robson. We pushed another 2 miles through the forest to an opening. Barely breathing, I stood in awe at this incredible scene. Here's a panorama of Mount Robson from where we hit the snow. Views like these make every bit of effort worthwhile.
