I was staying in South Lake Tahoe over the break and decided to drive up to Eagle Falls at Emerald Bay for sunrise. I'd been disappointed here before, so I wasn't expecting much. Still half asleep, I made the drive up the mountain hoping for something special.
Suddenly the sky exploded from cool tones into vibrant pinks and oranges. I rushed out to the falls, skating across the ice to set up my tripod as fast as I could. The colors reflected beautifully in the cascading water, it was one of the most intense and colorful sunrises I've ever witnessed at Lake Tahoe.
This photograph captures that special sunrise moment when the sky lit up and everything came together perfectly. Bring this Lake Tahoe beauty straight into your space so you can enjoy it all year.
