Eagle Falls that sunrise was one of the most colorful I've photographed at Lake Tahoe. I was happy to stay over in South Lake Tahoe over the break. I thought I'd drive out to Eagle Falls, a popular sunrise spot at Emerald Bay. I woke up half asleep, making the drive up the mountain. I'd been disappointed here before, so I wasn't expecting much, but when the colors went from cool to warm, I went nuts. I rushed out to Eagle Falls, skating on the ice as I set up my tripod, trying to get any shot I could. The sky exploded, reflecting perfectly in the waterfalls. It was such a great experience and a moment I won't soon forget.
