Lake Tahoe delivers some incredible sunsets. It took me three tries to capture this shot. Last winter I went to the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe to attempt a photograph at the iconic Bonsai Rock. We made our way down to the lakeshore. The clouds looked promising, and then the light show began. With no wind, the water stayed perfectly still, creating amazing reflections.
One of Lake Tahoe's signature features is its crystal clear waters and the granite boulders lining the shore, which make for incredible landscape compositions. For this shot, I framed Bonsai Rock between the boulders under that unforgettable cotton candy sky. I still can't believe how magical that sunset at Lake Tahoe turned out.
