Garnet Lake in the Ansel Adams Wilderness is every bit as scenic as the more popular Thousand Island Lake. During a 4-day backpacking trip we camped at Garnet Lake on our last night and found a great site with its own private beachfront view right on the water.
In the morning during blue hour, soft clouds filled the sky and provided beautiful light. The conditions created an almost perfect glassy reflection of Banner Peak in the water of Garnet Lake. This shot was taken right from our beachfront campsite.
