Bonsai Rock is one of the most iconic sunset locations on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe. After three attempts over several years, this evening finally delivered the perfect conditions I had been chasing.
We hiked down to the shore in thirty-degree temperatures as the light show began. The sky lit up in soft yellows, oranges and pinks while the water remained remarkably calm, creating beautiful reflections of the famous bonsai tree on its granite boulder.
