El Matador State Beach is my favorite beach in Los Angeles county. You would think it was in Oregon or somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. The beach has long stretches of sand, sea caves and massive rocks. We went out to capture the sunrise at the El Matador State Beach but the surf was so high that it forced us to take shots against the cliffs. The good thing was it forced you to come up with different compositions. El Matador is my favorite local spot to shoot when i go to the beach. Even when the tide is high or you get skunked you can come away with a decent photograph.
