Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite is one of the most photogenic alpine meadows in the Sierra Nevada. After a long day hiking to Waterwheel Falls, one of the most scenic trails in Yosemite high country, we finally made it back to the car. I was completely exhausted. But I couldn't resist checking the clouds for a potential good sunset. I mustered all the energy I could, drove around Tuolumne Meadows looking for a composition, and found just what I was looking for.
The last light of the day put on quite a show! The clouds lit up, illuminating Lembert Dome and the surrounding peaks. It was one of those magical moments when the light hit just right. Despite mosquitoes biting and my feet and tripod stuck in mud, I didn't care. Limited edition fine art print available, bringing this Tuolumne Meadows sunset magic straight to your wall.
