Tioga Pass is one of the best places in Yosemite for astrophotography. That clear night we drove up after twilight hoping the conditions would align. The Milky Way arched beautifully over Kuna Crest and Tioga Pass, perfectly framed by Mt. Dana and Gaylor Peak on either side.
The air was calm enough to capture a stunning reflection in Tioga Lake, and the stars were so vibrant that Jupiter was clearly visible. To reduce noise and bring out maximum detail, I took eight stacked exposures and blended them together.
