Finally, I was able to return to the White Mountains. Every year I make the trek up into the White Mountains to photography the bristlecone pines. The White Mountains are a great location to photograph the bristlecone pines especially for twilight and astrophotography. Some of these trees are over 5,000 years old. I hiked over a ridge and found this great tree overlooking the ridge. Who knows how long it's been there? It's a little bit unnerving to be all alone up there with these ancient trees, watching the sky transition from sunset to twilight.
